Lainie Paterson is a fully qualified plumber and the dedicated owner of a growing plumbing and roofing business serving Victoria’s Bass Coast. Growing up in the industry alongside her father, she pursued her trade with passion, completing her qualification by age 21 and eventually establishing her own professional operation. Her hands-on experience and business acumen have established her as a trusted expert in her field, committed to delivering high-quality workmanship in every project. Outside of the tools, Lainie is a passionate mentor and advocate for women entering the industry. As the founder of Women in Trades Connect, she is focused on creating pathways for the next generation of female tradies. She is also a content creator on social media, known as @plumber_gal, and her mission is to fill the space that’s been missing for women in the construction industry. Her goal is to build an inclusive workforce where young women can see themselves succeeding in practical, rewarding careers, ensuring they have the support and guidance needed to thrive in a traditionally male-dominated trade.
